A quiet note as our new website comes alive
There’s a particular kind of moment we love — the quiet one just before something new begins.
Over the past little while, we’ve been working gently behind the scenes on our new website. Not in a rush, not chasing trends — but slowly, thoughtfully, and with a lot of care. Much like the way our felt characters are made.
This update wasn’t about changing who we are. It was about reflecting it more clearly.
Slower, simpler, more intentional
Every page has been revisited. Stories were rewritten. Collections were reshaped to make wandering feel natural — the kind where you stumble across a character you didn’t know you were looking for, but somehow recognise.
We wanted the site to feel calm. Uncluttered. A little quieter than the world outside.
Because Heart of Collins has always been about small details:
• hands shaping felt,
• characters with their own personalities,
• pieces made to be kept, gifted, and remembered.
The new website is simply our way of letting those details breathe.
A handmade world, online
Although everything now lives online, the heart of what we do hasn’t changed.
Our characters are still handmade slowly by skilled artisans. No two are exactly the same — and we like it that way. Each one carries tiny variations that remind us there was a human hand involved at every step.
That sense of warmth, imperfection, and personality is something we wanted the website to honour.
You’re always welcome to wander
There’s no rush here. No pressure to click quickly or decide straight away.
Whether you’re visiting for the first time, or returning to find another little companion, we hope the new site feels like an open door — somewhere you can wander, pause, and come back to whenever it suits you.
We’ll continue sharing stories as the seasons change, introducing new characters as they quietly arrive, and keeping things small, slow, and considered.
For now, this is simply a soft hello — and a thank you for being here.
Warmly,
Sean
