SEVENOVA was born from a quiet wish — to create a world where warmth, imagination, and kindness can exist alongside everyday life.
The founder’s creative journey began with artworks inspired by rescued and stray animals, exploring how art might hold compassion, story, and emotional connection. Over time, this grew into a desire to build something more tangible — a small universe where fairy tales gently brush against reality.
With a background in illustration and picture-book storytelling from the University of the Arts London, she has long been drawn to the space between fantasy and real life. In a fast-paced, pressure-filled world, SEVENOVA offers a softer rhythm — a place to pause, wander, and feel.
This vision found its material expression through needle-felted wool: organic, expressive, and endlessly adaptable. Working closely with a wool-felting workshop in Kathmandu, Nepal, the founder spent time living and creating alongside local female artisans, forming a partnership grounded in respect, care, and ethical craftsmanship.
Rooted in Chinese heritage, SEVENOVA also carries a quiet intention to share contemporary Chinese creativity with the world — not as mass production, but as original design shaped by culture, imagination, and storytelling.
Drawing inspiration from Shan Hai Jing (The Classic of Mountains and Seas) and the mystical imagery of the Seven Heavens, SEVENOVA weaves Eastern mythology with Western fantasy, creating a timeless, dreamlike realm.
